Kibale National Park Tour Uganda

Kibale National Park is home to the closest relatives to man, the chimpanzees. Did you know that the gene count of chimps is 98% similar to that of man? Their feeding and way of life will certainly leave you with no doubt how like man they are! The different primates will definitely crown your visit to this park. The Park also hosts one of the world’s densest concentration of volcanic crater lakes

ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park with a lunch stopover in Fort Portal town. This park hosts more than 1000 Chimpanzees, 340 species of Birds, 27 species of Frogs and toads ,14 species of snakes, ancient trees up to 55 meters in height, Kibale forest is a wonderful place to experience the extra ordinary diversity of life in a tropical rainforest.

Dinner and overnight at:

Ndali lodge (high-end) or equivalent
Mountains of the moon (mid-range) or equivalent
Rwenzori Traveller’s Inn (budget) or equivalent

Day 2: Chimp Tracking
After an early breakfast and briefing at the park headquarters, depart for the chimpanzee tracking forest walk. Expect to find families of chimpanzees and other primates such as red colobus monkeys, Blue monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys and grey cheeked Mangabey chattering and swinging through the ancient forest trees.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Kasenda crater lakes.

Return for dinner and over night.

Day 3: Return to Kampala
Return to Kampala passing through Queen Elizabeth Park seeing the parks game en route. We shall have a lunch stop in Mbarara town proceed with our journey to Kampala stopping by the equator line in Nabusanke for photographs prior to arrival in Kampala or Entebbe airport or Make a stopover at Mpambire drum village, a chance to buy a locally made drum and then proceed to Kampala.
